When the routine gives us a break and work allows us to do so, what is better than spending time with the family?

Sometimes, the fast pace of life does not allow us to see the importance of doing activities with the little ones at home, our time is one of the best things we can offer them!

Family activities in the Ebro Delta

To talk about the Ebro Delta Natural Park is to talk about nature, freedom, peace and gastronomy. The Park is located in the regions of Baix Ebre and Montsià, where you will find a unique, singular and unbeatable natural space. It is for its pristine beaches and kilometers, the extensive rice fields that change color throughout the year, and for its amazing biodiversity and terrestrial and marine fauna.

An ideal environment to practice outdoor sports, enjoy a lot of leisure activities with children, discover the secrets of the local cuisine or simply disconnect.

-Wooden House

The Casa de Madera is one of the most iconic places in the Delta, and definitely worth a visit. It was built more than a hundred years ago by a group of hunters who lived in the natural environment.

Currently, it is the interpretation center of the Ebro Delta Natural Park. Inside is the ornithological museum, where you can learn about the birds that live in the Delta.

Don't forget to ask for the children's tourist guide of the Ebro Lands, with a lot of games related to the natural environment of the park.

-Horseback riding

Do you know this unique and liberating sensation that is galloping through the foothills of the Montsià mountain range? Mountain lovers, you can enjoy this activity walking through the emblematic landscape, between orange groves and olive trees.

If, on the other hand, you are more of a sea lover, you can do it on the beach of Riumar. This activity is very enriching for the little ones at home, you can observe a lot of animal species, such as flamingos, seagulls or ducks.

-Bicycle

One of the most famous family activities offered by the Ebro environment is a bicycle excursion.

As the terrain is very flat, it is a very easy activity for the whole family. You have the possibility to make a guided excursion to the Ebro Delta Lagoons, with several stops at the viewpoints of the area where you can observe perfectly the different ecosystems of the Delta.

 

-Trabucador Beach

Trabucador beach is one of the most beautiful and extensive beaches in the area, another essential place to visit in the Ebro Delta. In addition, this beach is ideal for water activities with the little ones, because of its shallow water depth and the little current there is.

Get ready to see one of the best sunsets in the whole Mediterranean!

-Ebro Sea Museum

The museum is located in the former office building and workshops of the Royal Ebro Canal Company. It is the starting point for several guided tours of the Ebro Delta. It hosts temporary and didactic exhibitions, ideal to visit with children.

In our cooperative we want more and more families to enjoy the Delta, bringing them closer to our natural environment, that is why we organize the Healthy Eating Program in schools.

What does the Healthy Eating Program consist of?

The program is aimed at primary school children in Catalonia, and seeks to make them aware of the importance of following a balanced diet.

An educational activity, with a playful touch, culminating in a competition in which children must let their imagination run wild by writing a story related to the world of rice and a recipe.

Each year, we invite the 10 winning children to spend a family weekend full of the best activities in the Ebro Delta!

More than 180,000 students have already participated in the program and more are joining every year!
