Montsià rice together with Mireia Carbó brings you this delicious creamy rice with mussels. An easy dish that you will feel that it is delicious!

Ingredients

  • 400 g of Montsià Bomba Rice
  • 1 kg of fresh mussels
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic
  • ½ l of water
  • olive oil
  • fresh parsley
  • salt

  1. Inside a casserole, heat a little generous olive oil and cook the chopped or grated onion together with the minced garlic. Cook well but do not take color.
  2. Clean the mussels.
  3. In an other casserole, open the mussels with 500 ml of water. Strain the juice and separate the peels.
  4. Sauté the rice for one minute with the onion.
  5. Add the water from the boiling mussels and cook the rice for 16 to 18 minutes.
  6. Taste and correct the salt but be careful because the water in the mussels is salty.
  7. Before serving, add a little chopped parsley and the reserved mussels.
