Rice arepas are the most typical dish in Venezuela and are perfect to accompany any dish. Prepare these arepas and enjoy a good breakfast, lunch or dinner!

  • 1 cup Montsià Extra Rice
  • 1 egg
  • 6 tablespoons corn flour
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • sugar

  1. To make the arepa dough, place water in a cup, add an egg, sugar and beat with a fork.
  2. Then, Crumble the rice and add it little by little together with the flour to form a homogeneous dough.
  3. In a nonstick skillet or griddle, add a little oil and let it heat over low heat. Meanwhile, mold the dough into an arepa shape and heat it in the pan 3 minutes, turn it over and wait about five more minutes.
  4. If you want you can heat them to the oven so that they are a little more toasted and the heat is conserved. And ... ready to enjoy them!
