The Via Verda is the
road connects the Delta with Aragón. It is a tourist and cultural route that goes through the old Zafán Val railway line.
The route start in the Baix Ebre region and begins through towns such as Roquetes, Aldover and Benifallet. The journey continues t
hrough the neighbouring region of Terra Alta until reaching Arnes, the border municipality with Aragón. The Via Verda continues in Aragón through Lledó and nally ends in the town of Alcañiz.
Although the itinerary
has an extension of 50 km, it is a perfect opportunity for bike tours lovers. The Via Verda is a way of doing sports and, at the same time, a way
to discover the area because it unites the Ports Natural Park the Delta del Ebro one. In addition, it is a way to discover the rice elds and discover bridges, aqueducts, tunnels and other points of interest.
The Via Verda has multiple quiet places to rest or eat something and
spectacular agricultural and forest landscapes. As its name suggests, vegetation predominates through it. In it you can see open elds of olive and almond trees, vineyards and valleys, as well as orange groves and orchard extensions.
