Monti explains the nutritional plate

The nutritional plate is a guide that sets the guidelines for a healthy diet and suggests the proportion of suitable foods to consume on a daily basis.

¿Did you know that each country has its own? Always adapted to the food and gastronomic culture of the area. Monti of course, uses the Mediterranean model, which is full of delicacies.

This is how he explains it in his video of the Healthy Eating Program.

  • In the base of the pyramid is rice along with the rest of cereals and derivatives, like bread and pasta, as well as potatoes, are foods that contain carbohydrates that we provide the energy needed to function each day.

  • On the second level are fruits and vegetables, as important as the base, because they fill us with vitamins, minerals and fiber.

  • Just above are the dairy like milk, cheese and yogurt, what they bring us calcium, an essential mineral for our bones and teeth.

  • At the next level are the protein foods, meat, egg, legumes and nuts, necessary for the construction and maintenance of body tissues, for example the muscles that are what we give strength and vitality.

  • And above all, occasional foods sugars, fats. Not everyone loves! But we shouldn't abuse.

Otherwise, children in house are not concerned about improving their eating habits, neither to keep the line nor to increase their life expectancy, as, of course, these are adult themes, but you will agree that, in a nice and fun way.

We can begin to educate them so that they are interested in improving their diet, try new foods, know how to control anxiety about sweets, follow the schedules... since so they will nd more energy to play, they will grow stronger, will prevent annoying colds, and ultimately they will be healthier happier.
