We have already started the year and in front of us we have the dreaded “hard January”. That is why in Montsià rice we want to give you 3 tips to reduce expenses without giving up a healthy and balanced diet.
When we go to the supermarket, it is
important not to focus only on the easy and immediate products because we will not get a complete diet and we will not control our expenses. Prepared foods are a quick way to get out of trouble, but there are healthier recipes, economic and as quick to prepare.
1- Do not forget to list. A serious mistake is going around the supermarket because you end up buying things you do not need. One of the most effective tricks is before leaving home,
write a list and stick to it. This way you will only buy the products you need and you will reduce expenses.
2- Buy seasonal products. If you go to the market or supermarket, you will see that fruits and vegetables change their price according to their seasonality. It is important that you
buy seasonal products so that the price is more adjusted and so that the freshness and avour are greater. In winter choose carrots and oranges and in summertime fruits like watermelon or melon.
3- The pantry is your great forgotten. Non-perishable foods are usually the cheapest or they can even be on sale. Cereals such
as rice or legumes, like lentils or chickpeas are foods with a lot of nutrients, like proteins.
Remember to go to the supermarket with your stomach full, so as not to buy unnecessary and unhealthy products. Otherwise, the foods you include in your shopping cart, can be those that you fancy and not the ones you need.
