In summer time it is important to consume fruit with plenty of water to hydrate your body. Among the summer fruits stand out:
  • Melon: Without any doubt it is one of the summer fruits par excellence. Melon is rich not only in water but also in potassium and carotene. If you add this fruit to your diet with salads or for dessert, you will help hydrate your body. 
     
  • Watermelon: Its properties are similar to melon because it also contains a lot of water and carotene, but also vitamin A and fibre. Watermelon can also be added to the salad, used in a very fresh sorbet or gazpacho. 
     
  • Peach: Peach is a perfect ingredient to add to salads and thus give it flavour. In addition, it is rich in vitamin A, B and also carotenes. Juices or ice creams are a good way to introduce peaches into your diet. 
     
  • Cucumber: One of the best-known vegetables of this season is cucumber. This vegetable it is a source of water and very light. Thus, it is easy to introduce it into your diet through a cream, a salad or as a side. 
     
  • Tomato: Tomato is rich in carotenes like the rest of the fruits and vegetables that we have mentioned. Besides it isantioxidant, it has vitamin C, water and potassium. We can add it into salads, juices or sauces.

  • Take advantage of this summer to try different fruits, seasonal vegetables and greens. This way you will provide different nutrients to your body and, also, you will take care of the environment.
