4 healthy and fresh snacks for children



With beautiful weather, it is important that your children hydrate well with a healthy eating and snacks.

We show you four healthy and refreshing snacks for children to fight the heat.

The most important thing is to select season products, rich in water, without a large amount of sugar and, especially, to take care of the temperatures of our dishes so that they help us to refresh the organism this season.

Yoghurt with fruits: One of the most complete and refreshing snacks is a glass of yoghurt with fruits. To prepare this snack you will only need 1 low fat yoghurt, a little honey, 3 cookies and 6 split cherries. In a container we mix the yoghurt with the honey to sweeten it. Then in the glass we add the chopped cookies rst, then we add the yoghurt and, nally, we decorate it with the split cherries. Easy, don't you think? 

Fruit skewer: Preparing a skewer is a fun way to instill fruit in your children. It is one of the easiest snacks to prepare since we only need a little pineapple, 1 banana, 1 peach, 1 plum, 1 cherry. 

Do not forget to wash the fruit well and peel it! Once you have made the first step, cut the fruit into slightly large cubes. Then, you will only have to place the pieces on the skewers, playing with textures and colours. 

Smoothies: Another very simple and refreshing recipe is to prepare a smoothie: a fruit smoothie with toppings. You will only need a few pieces of fruit (mango and raspberries), almonds and milk. 

To prepare the smoothie we must put the milk and the mango pulp very cold in the blender. This way we will obtain a shake that can be served both in a glass or in a bowl so that it is easier for children to drink. To decorate this snack, we will add the almonds and raspberries. 

Yoghurt and red fruit popsicles: The star snack for children are the ice lolly made with natural fruits. This idea is perfect to replace industrial ice creams that have more fats and sugars. To prepare the ice lolly we will need 1 low fat yoghurt, 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 strawberries, 2 cherries and 5 blueberries. 

Add the yoghurt and red berries with honey to the blender. Once we have all the ingredients blended, we put the mixture in some molds and put them in the freezer about 3 or 4 hours and they will be ready.
