Today we bring you a very popular recipe in the Asian continent, especially in Thailand, the Khao Pad; a super nutritious and very easy to prepare a dish. It is a very complete recipe based on brown rice, shrimp and eggs.
As we know that it is not very easy to find Asian ingredients, such as tamarind paste or fish sauce, we have adapted the original recipe in our way, using products that you can find in any supermarket.
Ingredients
300 g of Montsià Brown Rice
8 prawns
4 eggs
2 small tomatoes
2 small onions
A small piece of ginger
1 garlic
Soya sauce
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Sunflower oil
Chives
Cilantro
Lemon juice

Instructions
The first thing to do is to cook the rice. When it is ready, set it aside and let it cool.
While the rice is on the stove, cut the tomato into very small pieces, chop the garlic and ginger and mix.
In a deep paella pan, heat a dash of sunflower oil and fry the garlic and ginger for a few minutes. When it is ready, add the tomato and onion. Turn up the heat and stir until everything is fried.
Add the shrimp. If we want to add coriander or chives, this is the moment.
Optionally, we can add a teaspoon of brown sugar to give a sweeter flavour to our recipe. Just when it is caramelizing, add a bit of soy sauce.
We beat the eggs and mix them with our ingredients, and mix again together with the rice in the same paella pan. The fire has to be at maximum.
We add another splash of soy sauce and continue stirring until all the ingredients are incorporated into the rice.
Serve on a plate and squeeze a little lemon juice over the rice.
And eat!
