Our chef, Mireia Carbó, surprises us with this delicious and smooth recipe for a sweet orange rice.
150 g Montsià Extra Rice
100 g sugar
½ cinnamon stick
In a saucepan we will boil the milk with the cinnamon and the orange peel.
When it starts to boil, add the rice and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
After this time, add the sugar and continue cooking until we reach the 16 minutes.
Peel one of the oranges and remove the wedges. Reserve.
Then, we will make the orange juice.
We remove the rice from the heat and let it cool. When it is cold we add the juice. We stir and cool in the fridge.
Serve the rice very cold accompanied by the reserved wedges.
